Newly promoted Bonnyrigg Rose are increasing their hopes of a hot start to the Lowland League after a top curry restaurant agreed a shirt sponsorship deal.
Winners of last season’s East of Scotland League, the Rose are being sponsored by The Radhuni in Loanhead, recently voted the best curry restaurant in the Edinburgh area. Its Head Chef was voted Scotland’s Curry Chef of the Year in 2018.
‘Football clubs and good restaurants have much in common,” said Radhuni Managing Partner Habibur Khan. “They bring the local community together for something they enjoy, so it’s a natural fit for us to support a local football club. The Radhuni wishes
Bonnyrigg Rose continuing success in the new season.”
Club Chairman Charlie Kirkwood added: “My wife and I and other members of the club Board have been enjoying the food at Radhuni for a few years. We’ll be going there again during the season along with players and coaches. The club is grateful for the support from Habby and his staff.”
