A year after winning the title of Scotland’s top curry house, The Radhuni in Loanhead has been named best restaurant in its local region.
The award was announced at Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce’s annual Food and Drink Awards, held for the first time by video links because of the pandemic.
The Chamber’s chief executive Keith Barbour said few restaurants had done more to attract national attention to the regions’ hospitality sector than the 120 seat Indian-Bangladeshi establishment.
Choosing the winner had been a tough task, with judges taking the decision on the basis of service and ambience as well as food, he added.
