28. The Radhuni, Loanhead, Midlothian
This big, glamorous fine-dining restaurant was named best in Scotland at the British curry awards for its Indian-Bangladeshi cuisine. The long menu covers all the classics, but also includes a few surprises, such as haggis pakora. If you have something to celebrate, pre-order the kurzi lamb — a spice-marinated leg served with assorted kebabs, vegetables, rice and naan bread to share.
